After the computer has been on for a while, the slightest touch will cause the CRT to go black. I can sometimes bring it back by tapping the Mac on the left side. I took it into my local Apple dealer and could not get it to fail. He re-soldered some joints on the analog board anyway and said that it should be fine. I took it home and in less than 3 hours it started going black again. I immediately took it back to the Apple dealer who still has it and cannot get the CRT to go black. This all started happening when I moved my lamp from the right side of the Mac to the left side. It is an incandescent lamp with a 40 or 50 watt bulb. I know that the lamp shouldn't make any difference, but I can't find any other explanation. I did have the Apple dealer install a 2M Upgrade kit about 2 months ago but he said that he checked the simms and they were fine. If you have any ideas/suggestions please respond by email. Thanks to all... Todd
