cheaper would be to replace the MacMemory board with a Dove board (about
$550 for 2 meg). Probably cheaper still would be to find a repair shop that
does more than board swap. There are usually a couple in MacTutor, and if
there isn't one in your area you might be able to ship the board to them if
they can repair it.
