My Apple issue HD40 (Seagate STxxx) just failed horribly, after
6 months, for no particular reason.   I read a message on 
Compu$erve saying that there was a message on Usenet about Apple, 
Inc. replacing some defective 40MB drives for free. Can anyone
clue me in -- true?
