One of the strengths of the Open file dialog is the ability to access the list randomly by letter. You know--typing 'sy' to get to the system file in the list... Well, it was long a pain for me that I couldn't do this in the Save as... dialog for obvious reasons [if you typed a letter, you typed into the filename field. Well, Rebound seems to allow this sort of thing. The idea is to open the dialog with the option key down i.e. select the Save As... menu item with the option key down before the mouseDown. This opens the dialog normally. Type the new name for the file into the filename field. Now, if you go to another folder, the text field is hidden (but the name you typed in is retained), and you're all set... My complaint is that there is no way of changing the name in the field once you change folders, nor can you see the name (I have a short memory). If these two problems were corrected (maybe one could hit CMD-O to oepn the field again) and a static edit item to hide the fielename instead of making it invisible. I hope the author is reading this... PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION!!! Norman R.
