Message-ID: <369@arc.UUCP> Date: 13 Jun 89 00:17:42 GMT Reply-To: steve@arc.UUCP (Steve Savitzky) Organization: Advansoft Research Corp, Santa Clara, CA Lines: 19 This has probably been discussed, but I've only been reading this group for a month or so and I haven't seen it, so... How do I switch a Mac II between 256-bit color and 1-bit monochrome? (Like what you do in the control panel, only from a program.) I've RTF(I)M; it appears that I need to invoke the device driver to change the mode, but neither IM nor the book on designing cards and drivers says what the modes ARE (or else I missed it :-). C source code would be the best way of telling me how to do this. (One reason I want to know is so that I can write an XCMD to turn color off when I start up HyperCard.) -- Steve Savitzky | apple.com!arc!steve ADVANsoft Research Corp. | (408)727-3357 4301 Great America Parkway | #include Santa Clara, CA 95054 | May the Source be with you!
