What kind of ramifications are involved when creating a very large
shared memory segment?  I have rebuilt a kernel that allows for
a 40meg shared memory segment, and am able to allocate and use a 
segment of that size.  

I do not completely understand how and where shared memory is
allocated, so I am at a loss to evaluate the possible side effects,
if any, of allocating such a large segment. Any help will be 
appreciated.
