   I have seen similar problems when the computer is unable to swap or 
page, because it simply runs out of memory.  It may be that you don't 
have enough memory installed for what you're trying to do.  I demonstrated
this fault to my boss when he insisted that 2 sessions of VP/ix would run
on a system with 2MB of memory!
