I guess it's nice to get volunteered for such things, but I hadn't even incorporated the patches Win sent me until today. The patches succeeded, and xperfmon runs just fine on my machine. Full sources (not diffs) are available via anonymous ftp from expo.lcs.mit.edu as contrib/xperfmon-pmax.tar.Z. I've only run it for about five minutes, so I can't vouch for perfect operation...
