If it's comparable to the kterm that's been around for some time (I haven't seen it), you can't type Kanji, it's output-only. The efforts that I am aware of for Kanji input use a separate server process for Kana-Kanji conversion, that the kterm has to talk to. Clues, hints, suggestions? Wait a while? I expect to receive a variety of Kanji support code and applications from the SIGMA Project's X-Window Japanese Version Working Group for inclusion in R4 (and conceivably available sooner).
