I have a decstation for evaluation and I just brought up emacs.  It
walks, it talks, it flies, it X11's.  Since it isn't mentioned in
MACHINES and these changes might not be obvious to everyone...

To bring it up do the following:

* copy m-mips.h to m-pmax.h.
* comment out two lines in m-pmax.h.  the one about big-endian, and the
one with "-lmld" in it.
* in config.h use "s-bsd4-3.h" and "m-pmax.h"

This seems to work for me under ultricks 3.
