We are experiencing a problem with the suspend functionality; typing the suspend character suspends emacs with a garbled screen, and bringing emacs back to the foreground causes it to hang. Interestingly enough, using M-X suspend-emacs works perfectly (it suspends very nicely, and runs correctly when restarted. It IS doing a suspend, NOT just spawning a subshell as it did under earlier hpux releases). It seems like emacs needs to turn off the suspend character somehow so it can trap it itself; does anyone out there know how to make it work (some magic ioctl, possibly?) Any help would be appreciated. (please respond by mail; I will post a summary of fixes later).
