G++ and libg++ are separate programs, which are used independently. The rest of this question is predicated on the assumption that they are indistinguishable. It is therefore a poorly formulated question, which makes the issue seem more complicated than it is. If people wish for clarification, they must start by formulating their questions in terms which lead to simple answers. The only way to answer this question is to replace it with well-formulated questions. Those questions, and their answers, have been posted recently, so I won't repeat them. Besides which, questions about G++ do not belong on info-gcc. (Even questions about GCC are doubtful, since info-gcc is intended for announcements, not questions. But at least they are apropos.)
