that a recent bf patch that I posted did not work.  I received several
other messages to that effect by private mail.  It appears that I made
some modifications to the source after I posted it to unix-pc.sources.
The necessity of explicit version control becomes clear.

In any case, I received another (minor) bug report in the interim,
plus I'm tidying up the code just a bit more and doing some testing,
so look for a new bf + man page in the near future.
