For example, what about setting up accounts on contact that will automatically forward mail to Waterloo. My own system has a little over a hundred virtual usernames that do such a thing. For example, if you were to send mail to john@graham, it'll hit some guy on FidoNet, without any manual intervention. The account on contact could then be modified again when the student returns from school. This might be a simple matter of whether the list-administrator or contact's system administrator makes a change but, for the system administrator to make the change, means that regular mail can be sent to the same address all the time thereby reducing interuption of mail service. -- Thought of the day: Whosoever diggeth a pit shall fall therein.
