X-Mailer: Mail User's Shell (6.5.6 6/30/89) Yes, a co-operating (:-) system administrator would forward mail for a co-op student, and this is the best way to do it. However, what struck me as interesting was the fact that the un-subscribe-me messages went out to the list in general, not to the list-administrator (paul@moore, and/or hopefully unix-unanimous-request@moore). I would also like to point out that a system administrator can also create local mailing list forwarder's. I have unix-unanimous mail sent to unix-unanimous-fwd@robohack. That way I can add new users immediately, and delete them when necessary. I also send mail to the list administrator in order for him to keep an up to date list of real names receiving the list. We do something similar with mailing lists at work. Since more than one person usually wants to read the list, we gateway through news, and no-one's mailbox gets flooded. -- Greg A.
