I'm trying to find a paper that I came across in the early 70s - trouble
is, I've lost most details:

  Author:	PH Greene
  Subject:	A model (neural net / equational ?) of the way in which a
  		horse is able to change the phase of its legs (gait) as it
  		alters speed.
  Title:	?? 
  Journal:	??
  Date:		?? - but probably after 1972, and definitely before 1975.

Can any of you oldies (or historically-inclined youngies) fill in the
missing details?
