Message-ID: <738@gold.GVG.TEK.COM> Date: 21 Dec 89 19:02:02 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Grass Valley Group, Inc., Grass Valley, CA Lines: 14 I have been verifying a digital filter design using pencil, hex calculator, and paper. I realized that what I really need is a spreadsheet that understands binary or hex integer formats. I would like to have the basic spreadsheet functions like add and subtract, plus a couple bit manipulation type operations like shift, arithmetic shift, etc. Do any of you know of any "engineers spreadsheet" out there? It seems like it would be a trivial hack of some basic spreadsheet, and it also seems like someone else out there may have already solved the problem. thanks, Jim Delwiche jimd@gold.gvg.tek.com
