Message-ID: Date: 14 Dec 89 21:02:28 GMT Sender: news@OSF.ORG Distribution: comp Organization: Open Software Foundation Lines: 11 This is a request for information for the proper shutdown procedure for Minix-ST 1.1. Beyond unmounting file systems on floppy and hard disks, this is no problem when you have root file system on RAM disk but I use Howard Johnson's code for placing root file system on (hard) disk partition. The superblocks and other file system information do not seem to be getting updated as a result of a final sync command before I shutdown (the root file sys never fscks clean on boot). Has anyone had this experience? Peter Harbo/OSF.
