Has anyone recently compared the performance of Ethernet cards?

I have a 386-33 system that I am turning into a Novell Netware 386 
file server and would like to get the highest performing Ethernet card.

Currently I am using 3Com 3C503's and Sun PC-NFS, but the usage has been
minimal, so I have no feel for how these cards compare against others,
especially the 16-bitters.

I would appreciate any pointers to benchmarks and/or reviews or even
your own evaluations or experience.
