What is so frustrating about all of this is that it is still an UNOFFICIAL policy even though CBM's ad in Academic Computing stressed that Howard Diamond had pushed through an OFFICIAL educational discount policy. The ad even gives an 800 number to call about ed. discounts. Whatever CBM decides to do, they should at least tell their advertising people so that potential customers are not driven away by "misstatements."
