Yes, match your parity to what your host thinks is your parity.  The
problem stems from the fact that I "corrected" a problem in 2.8A and
prior versions which always stripped the high-order bit from in-bound
serial data.  In 2.9A (the patch release which is in beta-test now) I
provide a new menu item and script command which requests that VT100
always strip parity from in-bound data which is destined for the
terminal.
