For a hard drive addon to the A1000 - I used a slider IBMPC case I paid 25
bucks for. The power supply and ribbon cable was another 50 dollars. I had
purchased a Cltd SCSI controller a year ago.
 
As for the ST296N - it is fine - quick - a lil noisey... mine is half full.
Next item I buy will be a CD ROM or WORM drive.
