I would like to stage a progression from my current position, to the "ultimate" Amiga setup. (At this time that means the best compromise of the 'best of both worlds'). I am currently working under the assumption that I ultimately want only one 'box' and monitor to deal with (read: in my way B-{) ) to accomplish both Amiga and PC tasks. What are the advantages/disadvantages of starting with the Amiga 500 and buying my way up piecemeal, as opposed to buying in at the 2000 (at this time a cost prohibitive option for me)? What software/hardware incompatibilities will I have to be mindful of between a) Amiga hardware/IBM software and b)A500 sw,hw/A2000 sw,hw? What type of monitor must I use in this setup? As an aside, what does interlacing(video) mean? If there are any issues that I have not considered, or incorrect assumptions which I am working under, PLEASE let me know! I'd like to do this as close to right the first time as possible. P.S. No computer bashers, please!! -------- If knowledge is power, how can there be so much power and so little common sense in Washington, D.C.? Aha!! I have found the fallacy in my own argument. Knowledge has little, if anything to do with common sense! ------- johnboyd@ocdis01.af.mil 72341.1707@compuserve.com
