But then again, I only placed one order, and it was for four software titles. Called 'em up last Friday, and talked to Barry: Me: "Wanna get some software: blah, blah, blah, and blah" Barry: "No problem. Anything else?" Me: "Nope. By the way, just what is blah one? Is it any good? Some kids I know want it for Xmas" Barry: "Never tried it, but here's what I know... (etc, etc), and I've heard it's pretty good for a driving simulation" Me: "Ok, sounds good. I'll get it..." Barry: "Ok... that'll be a hundred bucks. Wanna send it UPS 2nd day air?" Me: "Oh, I dunno... don't see why I should" Barry: "Well, it's nearly Christmas, y'know. Might not make it by ground. And it's only a couple bucks" Me: "Oh... you're right! Good idea! Thanks! By the way, you sure you have all this stuff in stock?" Barry: "Yup. It's right here on my computer." Me: "Fine. I get real nervous about mail order joints. Says in your ad you guys are Amiga users. You got an Amiga?" Barry: "Yup. We don't lie." (I think he was actually a little annoyed at me about that one... -ed.) Anyway, he was nice, courteous, and helpful. The true test of a company though, is what happens when you have problems. For this, I have no experience with LightSpeed. The last place from which I ordered by mail order went out of business, I think. And I'm glad- they weren't honest to me about my shipment. That was Starflite Telemarketing. At the time, the Amiga 500 just came out and they were the only characters that had any around. At least my computer came on time... -Mike Schwager INTERNET:schwager@cs.uiuc.edu |"I wear black on the outside, UUCP:{uunet|convex|pur-ee}!uiucdcs!schwager | cuz black is how I feel BITNET:schwager%cs.uiuc.edu@uiucvmd | on the inside" University of Illinois, Dept. of Comp.
