Path: utzoo!attcan!uunet!mcsun!hp4nl!nikhefh!e07 From: e07@nikhefh.nikhef.nl (Eric Wassenaar) Newsgroups: comp.sys.apollo Subject: SR10.1.p utilities dealing with utmp have chaotic display Message-ID: <625@nikhefh.nikhef.nl> Date: 18 Dec 89 09:21:38 GMT Organization: Nikhef-H, Amsterdam (the Netherlands). Lines: 14 Since the width of the username and hostname fields in /etc/utmp or /usr/adm/wtmp in the Apollo implementation is 32 (instead of the usual 8 and 16), the output of some utilities displaying user info is totally misaligned and difficult to read on a 80 column terminal. This applies to finger, who, last, and the like. I think one should adhere to the unix convention, especially if I have requested so in the rgy properties.
