If you shutdown your machine with '/etc/shutdown +1 message' you get
after a while the single user mode "login: " prompt, but if you try
to login as root, you get the message
"Using local registry - can't use network registry - access violation"
and then for everything you type in, you get "command not found".
The only thing left is to reset/reboot the machine.
