He works for a small company, so this theft hurt them badly. Any information regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated; please send any info. to me via >>MAIL<< (NOT news!), or phone me at (416)-667-0517, and I'll pass it along to my friend. Thanks! -KAC) On Saturday, December 9th, several items of computer equipment were stolen from a Toronto company. They were: - an Apollo DN4000, Node ID = 130f1, with a 5-1/4" floppy disc drive, a cartridge tape controller board, and an ethernet card; - a QMS-PS 810 laser printer; - a Danford external cartridge tape drive; - a Fastcomm 9600 "Turbo" modem. If you see any such equipment come on the market ("great deal; real cheap"), and suspect that it might be the stolen equipment, please contact me, either via email or telephone. In particular, if people on the net were to do a "bldt" command on any newly-installed DN4000's that they happen across in the next few weeks, and compare the resulting node ID with the one given above, I think that there's a fair chance of finding out who carried out the theft. The possibility of a reward (say, for information leading to recovery of equipment, or prosecution of the thief or thieves) should >>not<< be ruled out. Many thanks. -- Kieran A.
