Its a cable that has an Atari SIO on one end and an rs232 on the other end, not an interface. If you look at how the SX-212 works, you will realize that its the same idea. I've been using such a cable with my Modem forthe last three years, and hae nver had a problem running term software, in addtion have tried others hayes compatible modems and they all worked flawlessly.
