It's called Stevie (ST VI?). I'm not sure where you'd be able to get it from, though. I got my copy from the University of Lancaster, UK, via a friend. I've only used it a little bit, and well, it's OK, but the major reasons for using it in my eyes aren't yet implemented. There is no global change facility ('ex'-type command), and the undo facility isn't implemented yet. There are large chunks missing, really. It's also very slow at doing inserts. I guess it's OK if you're hell-bent on using 'vi', but I prefer to use micro-emacs (currently 3.8b, shortly to be 3.10) for the simple reason that it's *much* more fully implemented. Does anyone else know where Steve could get hold of Stevie in the US? I've only got a binary, by the way. If necessary, I guess I could uuencode, compress & post it. Any takers? -Chrisl. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Parkin Lilley, CS1.2, BT Fulcrum, UK chrisl@uk.co.bt.fulcrum
