Message-ID: <484@tci.bell-atl.com> Date: 14 Dec 89 21:57:40 GMT Followup-To: poster Distribution: usa Organization: Technology Concepts, Inc. Sudbury Mass. Lines: 18 Any DECstation users out there who have (8mm) Mountain FileSafe 2100D (exabyte) tape drives, and care to comment in any way about them? Personally I'd get a 4mm but my boss wants something "blessed" by DEC. What he really wants is something that can be fixed overnight, so (since at this time I don't see any 8mm/4mm drives available for svce contract) I must convince him that cross-country express replace/repair is the best we can do. Any other 8mm/4mm comments gratefully accepted. I'm aware that 4mm seems the way of the future, with faster seek times. Any comments in general about Mountain service also gratefully accepted. thanks... -- Doug Mildram Technology Concepts Inc. 40 Tall Pine Dr. uucp: {anywhere}!uunet!tci!doug, doug@tci.bell-atl.com Sudbury MA 01776 (508) 443-7311 x273
