Besides the protocol stack we would also require the network >management agent. There are several companies out there who will license their DECnet implementations. I can think of three off the top of my head: Technology Concepts in Sudbury MA, a Bell Atlantic Co, Ki Research (somewhere in New Hampshire) and Thursby Something or Other whose address I don't know. All three frequently advertise in rags like Digital Review, etc. I'm not a DECnet expert, but I've worked with TCI's code, and I thought it was very clean, and it's amazingly portable to all sorts of environments. I have no direct experience with Ki, but I've talked to their head techie folks, and they sounded very bright and knowledgeable. Thursby I've just seen come on the scene, so I have no opinion one way or the other. -- Steve Dyer dyer@ursa-major.spdcc.com aka {ima,harvard,rayssd,linus,m2c}!spdcc!dyer dyer@arktouros.mit.edu, dyer@hstbme.mit.edu
