It appears to have been discontinued, but some dealers and mail-order suppliers may still have one or two. As I recall, it was priced at about $2500. I also recall having seen ads for 3rd-party upgrade kits. I have no idea if such products meet your quality and compatibility needs. Chances are your local HP sales office wouldn't write a service contract on a 2686D with a 3rd-party controller/RAM board in it.
