Message-ID: <15480009@hpfinote.HP.COM> Date: 14 Dec 89 23:55:14 GMT Organization: Hewlett Packard CICD Lines: 17 Is it possible to get a copy of the source for the PAWS 3.2 compiler? I would like to make some modifications to produce faster running code. In particular, the floating point compare routines are slow. I have seen a 20% improvement from using the 68881/68882 to do the same function. It would be a lot easier to modify the compiler as I have several conditional compile flags I use to debug various things. It would really be a pain to hack the assembly source. I'm not sure if it would be best to modify the COMPILE20 or the MODCAL20 compiler. Does the MODCAL20 compiler with $MODCAL OFF$ produce the same code as COMPILE20? This is for personal use only; none of the code files produced will ever be distributed outside HP. Likewise for the source. Don Novy den@hpfitst2
