I don't know what's going wrong. I have the short card 3c505 Assy 2227-02 Rev D. I have the I/O port set at 0x300h, the base memory set at DC000. I have the driver hanging off of interrupt 0x7eh and using IRQ 3. I try running the 3c505.com program as such: 3c505 0x7e 3 0x300 It response with the packet intro and then... Packet deiver loaded at sement 11E5 Packet interrupt number 0x7E (126) Interrrupt number 0x3 (3) I/O port 0x300 (768) Memory address 0xD000 (53248) And then it hangs...I sat here and waited for a 1/2 hour for the packet driver to initialize the board with no success. I end up having to reboot the machine. Has anyone gotten the driver to work? If so I would appreciate your input. Help lift me up from my ignorance. I'm stuck in a land of 505 cards on a novell network. We use Interlan's Micom board to bridge between novell packets and TCP packets and the telnet emulator that came with Micom dies after the 502nd press of the return key! I need telnet to get onto my Sun 4 so I can do my work. So, please, please help this poor unfortunate. I'll summarize all my responses and post it for everyone. Thanks!
