MS-Kermit and VMS-Kermit know the difference in ascii and binary, but you must tell UNIX-Kermit. To Kermit off a UNIX machine: kermit -i This sets transfer mode to IMAGE (binary). You must tell the UNIX machine what mode to transfer. Tom Currey
