    I would very much appreciate pointers to software products (actually
  source code is preferred) that allow printing barcodes to an Epson FX-286
  printer.  UPC compliance would be perfect and the ability to intermix
  text would be ideal.

    Please email responces as I don't normally read this group. If your only
  recourse is to post a follow up article, then please insure that "UPC"
  appears in the subject line.
