I believe the original was written by a Soviet citizen, and is public domain. Spectrum Holobyte acquired the source code and re-wrote it, and released their versions as commercial software. SH includes cga, ega, tandy and even a memory resident version. If you like tetris, watch for "beyond.com," an amusing variation.
