Well, I can name couple of manufacturers who make these things....

1) Output Technology Corp (OTC)  fast stuff indeed!
2) Dataproducts (higher quality and more expensive, often private
   labeled my another manufacturer.) A good buy used...look in
   "Computer Hot Line" newsletter for many brokers seeling these.
   These printers were commonly used with minicomputers.
3) Okidata Pacemark series

There are several others like 2) (Facit and TEC come to mind...)

We have a Dataproducts M200 we bought used for $150 a couple years
ago and it just runs and runs and runs....

Generally speaking, you don't find the really fast printers in the
computer stores...too expensive.  The OTC units seem to be fairly
well distributed...try Midwest Micro Perpherials if all else fails...
