'pends on what YOU call fast.

The old Printronix's used to use 1 pin for every 6 dots, and printed
bidirectionally, the one we have is *ancient* and is still damn fast
even now. Heaven knows what a new one would be like.

But before you sink your money into a 'really, really FAST' printer,
make sure you have a 'really, really FAST' comms port - See some
earlier grumbles in this newsgroup.
