Not particularly relevant, since OS/2 is not DOS. Under a well designed protected mode operating system, a program cannot crash the entire system, and OS/2, once mature, should be reasonably immune to crashes brought on by errant programs. DOS, which operates in real mode, has no such power to ensure system integrity.
