  There is a good article on IBM in the recent _PC Week_ V6#50, page 10.
I will only say that it appears that a goodly number of IBM middle
managers will be money ahead to retire now rather than keep working.
This is very likely to result in a serious brain drain, as people either
pack it in or "retire" and go to a competitor.

  I have seen two articles which state that the offer is open to
everyone, one which states that it's for hourly workers only. In light
of this article, I will assume that management is included.
