CS Dept, Ithaca NY Lines: 17 I just learned that Jerry Jackson did post something to this group but that it never made it to Cornell. It seems that comp.sys.isis implements an unreliable broadcast (or, perhaps it was atomic and never got anywhere?) Anyhow, seems to me that I have seen several postings prefixed by "I hope this didn't come out in duplicate, my first attempt seem to have vanished" Does anyone out there know how a posting can vanish? Did anyone see Jerry's recent posting? (I've asked him to try again today). Is there anything we can do to improve the reliability of the posting mechanism, or that people can do to understand if their own posting went through or was zapped? Ken
