I hate to burst bubbles, but if you are waiting for a revised book version of Inside Mac to buy, you may be waiting longer than you hope (as we all are). If you need a copy, go get one tomorrow, it won't be obsoleted in the near future. Good news is that our Developer Technical Publications group, the group which writes and publishes ALL of our technical documentation, is looking at a very bright future. They have recently undergone some upper management changes and seem VERY receptive to feedback and suggestions for the first time in a long time. A sign of this is a two-way discussion folder on AppleLink. They will hopefully very soon have a general account to which people on the Internet and other networks can send comments and suggestions. This isn't a promise, only a hope. Don't worry though, they have already received the 45+ pages of comments from people on Usenet from last year that this newsgroup generated. Although it is very easy to complain and moan about IM and our other documentation (trust me, in DTS it is our job to complain), give this "renewed" tech pubs group a chance, and I think we might see some great things coming from them in the future. In the meantime, we'll see what we can do with Technical Notes and other documentation to try to help you out. -- Mark B.
