Message-ID: <1989Dec15.031508.6884@cunixf.cc.columbia.edu> Date: 15 Dec 89 03:15:08 GMT Organization: Columbia University Lines: 10 It is quite true that one is suppose to move the 256k simms to bank B and install the 1 meg simms in bank A to upgrade a MacII, IIcx or SE30. However, why does the MacwareHouse cataloq Volume3.1 pg.38 specifically mention that to upgrade an 8 socket MacII,IIcx, or SE30 to 5 meg KEEP EXISTING 256K SIMMS, INSTALL FOUR 1M SIMMS IN REMAINING SOCKETS. This is what originally had confused me when I did my installation.
