Recently, I experienced the following problem  in ResEdit 1.2.  While changing
'file info'  settings in some files, the edit menu would become empty all of a
sudden and the file menu would contain those usually under the edit menu.  So
all menu options of the file menu were lost.  The apple menu stayed intact.
This happened a few times.  I could not see any pattern to it and it has not
happened again recently.  Could I have picked up a virus of some sort?
(Disinfectant 1.5 reports no problems, and I have GateKeeper in my system
also.)  Is there a bug in ResEdit?   I must add, in case it helps explain this
odd behaviour, that previous to GateKeeper.  As a result of lost their 'file
info' settings.
