Keywords: A/UX 1.0 bugs Message-ID: <1166@m3.mfci.UUCP> Date: 19 Dec 89 15:55:45 GMT Reply-To: ryland@multiflow.com Followup-To: sender Organization: Multiflow Computer Inc., Branford Ct. 06405 Lines: 17 I have the possibility of getting A/UX 1.0 (perhaps with an upgrade to 1.1.1) and never moving on in terms of versions. All I really want to do is run gnu emacs and uucp (for mail and news). Is 1.0 solid enough for this? (This only has to hold me for a few months, not forever.) Another question: can an expert 4.3BSD Unix systems hacker get by without the manuals? (They cost $500.) Are there man pages on-line? Any advice appreciated. (Direct mail to me, please. I'll summarize if there seems to be any generally useful outcome.) Cheers. --Chris Ryland ryland@multiflow.com, ...!uunet!mfci!ryland 203-399-7903 (home) 203-488-6090 (work)
