Due to different magnetic media, your disk may loose its data sooner (or if your lucky, later) than you think. At our computing centre we advise people (for their own ease of mind) to use floppies for the media they are created for, that is to say format DS/DD till ~1Mb and DS/HD till ~2Mb. Good luck!
