Two things:

1) A while back I asked if anyone could post a synopsis of the whole Quantum
hard disk problem in comp.sys.mac.  I guess I posted it to the wrong board, so
I am asking again here...

2) In the latest edition of MacWorld, there is a tip for reformatting hard 
disks to their full rated capacity using Apple's HD SC Setup program. Before
I go ahead and bother trying this (according to HD Setup, I can get another
2.3 megs out of my HD), has anyone else tried it before with any success?
