I was shopping around again among the MacWEEK advertisers.  Chip
Merchants was offering, as has been noted, a price of $76 / 1Meg.  I
tried another outfit, Peripheral Outlet of Ada, OK, whose ad said $77
for 70ns (credit cards OK, 3% extra).  When I called them, they said
they were offering 80ns SIMMs at $72, so I ordered two (my SE is
already at 2.5 meg thanks to a discounted Apple upgrade for $419!).
And I went for the second day air.  Total cost, including credit card
surcharge: ~$150.

Their phone numbers are 800-322-6581 or +405-332-6581 (according to
the ad).

I have no connection with these people (I never heard of them except
for their advertising) except as a customer.
