I don't want to make /etc/mount and /etc/umount setuid, and mount can't be run as a normal user. What I have in mind is something that does an fsck to verify there is a good filesystem on the floppy, mounts the floppy, and changes the permissions on the device so people can't tar/bar/etc to the floppy while it is mounted.
